
Congratulations to Matthew Bremke and Bradley Nagy! Matthew and Bradley are the recipients of the 2012 Ross/Cromling Scholarships.
Matthew is the son of Karen Bremke, Executive Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of Ross Environmental Services, Inc. Bradley is the son of Michelle Nagy-Casper, an Executive Assistant in the Sales & Marketing Department of Ross Environmental.
The Ross/Cromling Scholarships are awarded annually by the Ross Foundation, Inc. The scholarship fund was created by associates of the Ross companies to provide college funding to children and grandchildren of associates of the Ross companies. Funds for the scholarships are generated through associate fundraisers and donations.
The scholarship recipients are selected by a Scholarship Selection Committee that includes five people representing community groups including the Eaton Township Trustees, the Grafton/Midview Public Library, the Midview Local School District, a local bank and Lorain County Community College.
Matthew is a 2010 graduate of Oberlin High School. He is enrolled at the University of Akron where he is working towards a Bachelor’s in Nursing. Matthew was on the Lorain County Community College Dean’s List in 2010 and 2011 and the University of Akron Dean’s List in 2011 and 2012. He is a member of Tau Sigma National Honor Society.
Matthew was also very active in 4-H and was the Lorain County Junior Fair King in 2010. He was the Vice President of the Junior Fair Board and president of Junior Leaders as well as holding leadership positions in the Tri-City Critters 4-H Club.
Bradley is a 2012 graduate of Midview High School where he was on the Honor and Merit Rolls for several years. Bradley was on the MIdview High School football team and also the track & field and baseball teams. He also received the Athletic Academic Achievement Award from Midview High School. He was a volunteer for his church, Our Lady Queen of Peace and participated in volunteer activities for several community groups including the United Way of Greater Lorain County and Lorain County Metro Parks.
Bradley will be attending the University of Akron affiliation with Lorain County Community College where he is enrolled in the new Construction Engineering program.
