Ross Environmental Services, Inc.

The Ross companies' first Health Fair was held at the Ross Environmental Services Business Center on Saturday, July 17 and was a tremendous success! About 120 Ross associates and family members attended the event which featured 29 vendors and activity stations.  The Health Fair enabled Ross associates to learn more about their health and meet vendors who can help them live healthier, happier lives.

Vendor booths were set up throughout the first floor of the Business Center and a special section devoted just to kids was set up in the Library area of the building.  In the Kids' Zone, children could have fun with hula hoops, learn about staying healthy and have their faces painted. Outside, a bouncy house and an ambulance were joined by the Animal Protective League trailer which featured dogs and cats that were available for adoption.  In the Training Room area, Community Health Partners was conducting free health assessment testing for all associates and their spouses. It included blood pressure testing, body mass index and body fat percentage testing and a blood draw for a blood chemistry profile. Results of the blood testing will be sent to each associates home in the next few weeks.

Healthy breakfast and lunch treats were provided for all those who attended the event. And, thanks to donations from vendors, a number of door prizes were awarded to associates and family members.  A grand prize of a $250 Dick's Sporting Goods gift card was also awarded. To be eligible for the drawing, associates had to visit at least 10 of the vendor stations and activities and have a card signed at each.
