Ross companies win Safety Awards from Ohio BWC

Congratulations to the associates of the Ross companies! Ross Environmental Services, Inc., Ross Incineration Services, Inc. and Ross Transportation Services, Inc. were recently honored with several awards at the Lorain County Safety Council Award Luncheon. The Luncheon is sponsored by the Lorain County Chamber of Commerce. The event, the Chamber presents awards from the State of Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation (BWC) for excellence in safety performance. The April, 2010 Awards Luncheon was held to honor Lorain County companies that demonstrated an outstanding commitment to safety during 2009. A number of awards are presented by the Ohio BWC including:

Group Award - given to a company that demonstrates the best safety record in the group of similar employers.

100% Award - given to a company that has no injuries during a calendar year.

Achievement Award - given to a company that had a reduction of accidents of 25% or more from the previous year.

Special Award - given to a company that has worked more than 500,000 hours without a lost time accident.

Four Awards for Ross Incineration Services, Inc.

Ross Incineration recieved four awards at the Safety Council Award Luncheon: Group Award, the 100% Award, Achievement Award and Special Award.

Two Awards for Ross Transportation Services, Inc.

Ross Transportation Services received two awards at the luncheon: the Group Award and 100% Award.

One Award for Ross Environmental Services, Inc.

Ross Environmental Services received one award at the luncheon: the 100% Award.
