Eaton Township - The Ross companies will collect Household Hazardous Waste as a community service project at Eaton Township's Spring Dumpster Days on May 7 and 8.

Associates from Ross Environmental Services, Inc., Ross Incineration Services, Inc. and Ross Transportation Services, Inc. will collect used motor oil, paint, cleaning products, pesticides, herbicides, antifreeze, pool chemicals and other household chemicals. They will then safely package, transport and dispose of the materials in an environmentally friendly manner. There is no charge to the residents or the township for this service.

Since the Ross companies will be collecting Household Hazardous Waste at the Spring Dumpster Days, they will not participate in the Fall Dumpster Days if it is held. So local residents should use this opportunity to clean out their basements, garages and barns and safely dispose of these hazardous materials.

Dumpster Days will be held at the Eaton Township Town Hall, 12043 Avon Belden Road from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Eaton Township residents bringing materials to the collection event should enter the parking area from the driveway on State Route 82.  (Eaton Township Dumpster Days is only open to township residents.)

Due to state and federal regulations, hazardous wastes from commercial facilities, including farms, small businesses and landscape companies, will not be accepted. These businesses are not exempt from state and federal waste management regulations.
