Community Relations

The Ross companies have an Open Door Policy with our local community. As companies that enjoy the benefits of doing business in our local community, we recognize that we have a responsibility to be good corporate citizens and to maintain clear, open lines of communications with our many publics. We believe that communication with the public is vital to the successful business practices of the Ross companies. We are available to provide information, answer questions, give tours of our facilities and make presentations about our operations. We also publish a Community Newsletter several times each year with information about the company and community events.

Who To Call For Information

The Ross Environmental Communications Department is the primary contact for all local residents, news media representatives, school groups and civic organizations who are interested in learning more about the companies and their operations. For more information, visit our Contact Us Page.

Contributions & Volunteers

The Communications Department is also the contact for anyone requesting corporate contributions, looking for volunteers or seeking information about the Ross Foundation, Inc.

Permitting Public Participation

Finally, the Communications Department also manages public participation. The U.S. and Ohio Environmental Protection Agencies require Ross Incineration Services to notify the public whenever the company submits a request to modify one of its operating permits. The Communications Department is responsible for public notices, for mailings to the RIS official facility mailing list and for public meetings regarding a wide range of regulatory issues. See the section on Public Participation for more information.
