Maureen
M. Cromling
Chairman of the Board
Ross Environmental Services,
Inc. and Ross Incineration Services, Inc. have again received WBE
certification from the National Women Business Owners Corporation
(NWBOC). The companies are owned by Maureen M. Cromling and her husband,
William E. Cromling III.
WBE Certification stands
for Woman Business Enterprise and denotes that a woman or women have
majority ownership and control of a business entity, according to
the NWBOC. By law, majority ownership means at least 51% of the business
is owned by a woman or women.
The NWBOC grants WBE Certification
after conducting a thorough review of the business to ensure that
a woman holds majority ownership and control of the business. The
certification is for one year from August 15, 2007 thorugh August
14, 2008.
The goal of the NWBOC's
annual certification program is to streamline the certification process
and increase the ability of women business owners to compete for contracts
at a national level.
The NWBOC, based in Lake
Park, FL, is a sister organization to the National Association of
Women Business Owners.
The NWBOC was the first organization to launch a national certification
program for woman owned and controlled businesses as an alternative
to the multiple state and local certifications required by many organizations.
The NWBOC WBE Certification is recognized nationally by hundreds of
private corporations and public agencies
