The Ross companies, Ross Environmental Services, Inc.,
Ross Incineration Services, Inc. and Ross Transportation Services,
Inc. will conduct a free paint and motor oil collection at a local
environmental fair on Saturday, March 29, 2008.
The companies are partnering with the Christian Community
School, 35716 E. Royalton Road, Grafton, Ohio to conduct the collection
event as a free community service. The collection will be a featured
part of the school's "Go Green Festival." The Festival will
also include vendor exhibits, presentations about organic gardening,
conserving energy and other environmental topics and a healthy cafe
featuring organic foods.
"We will be collecting used water-based and solvent-based
paints as well as aerosol cans of paints. We will also collect used
motor oil at the event," said Maggie Kelch, corporate communications
and community relations manager for Ross Environmental.
"As companies that work hard every day to protect
the environment, we believe that participating in this Green Festival
is just one more way that we can help members of the local community
to also protect the environment," she added.
The used paint and motor oil collection event will be
held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Materials will be accepted from individuals
and homeowners. No drums of motor oil or wastes from commercial facilities,
including farms, businesses and landscape facilities will be accepted.
