Ross
Incineration Services and Ross Environmental Services associates were
honored recently with several awards from the Ohio Bureau of Workers'
Compensation Division of Safety & Hygiene. The awards were presented
to members of the Ross Incineration Safety Committee at the Lorain
County Safety Council Awards Banquet sponsored by the Lorain County
Chamber of Commerce.
RIS
associates received two awards. The first was the Group
Achievement Award which was
given for their outstanding safety record in 2007. The
Group Award is given to the company
with the lowest incident rate in their designated group of companies.
Companies are divided into groups according to business classification,
hazards of their operations and/or according to the number of employee
hours worked.
Ross Incineration
associates also received the 25% Award
for reducing workplace accidents by more than 25% during 2007.
Ross Environmental
Services associates received the 100% award for recording a 100% reduction
in workplace injuries during 2007.
